Dr. Fuller goes well beyond the extra mile when it comes to health and wellness. In October of 2012 I didn't know how I was going to be able to get through the rest of my life, with the chronic constant chronic pain I was in. I had exhausted the medical profession to no avail. Luckily for me I had seen Dr. Fuller in the past with much success. I was barely able to walk or work but two hours per day so I called Dr. Fuller made an appointment. He would see me on my way to and from work daily. The pain was so great I had little hope of ever returning to the active life I was accustomed to.
He constantly reassured me that he would be able to get me back to that life, but it would take time. At times I would lose hope but he would continue to encourage me and through his constant care and generosity. I am more than grateful to say that Dr. Fuller has done just what he said he could and would do.
Thank you Dr. Fuller for your dedication to helping others and returning me to a happy, active, useful life.
Sincerely, Gail Milnes
Chronic Neck Pain-Resolved
I began to see Dr. Fuller a few years ago for chronic and progressive neck pain. As an active mom with two young children I was becoming increasingly frustrated and depressed as my condition deteriorated. Dr. Fuller was my last hope before I considered surgical options to relieve the "arthritic" pain. I believe the support and hope that Dr. Fuller consistently gives his patients is a huge part of why they improve so dramatically. I have left his office after every visit believing I could and would feel better, even on the days when I had to drag myself there. When I began treatment my daily pain ranged from a 4 to a 6 on a 1 to 10 pain scale. I was not able to sleep well, focus or relax and was gaining weight. It feels amazing to say that I now have many days (and nights!) when I am at a 0. I often wake in the morning feeling refreshed after a full nights rest without turning and tossing to try and find a comfortable position. I honestly never thought that would happen for me again.
You truly changed my life by giving me the freedom to live in my body without constant pain! Thank you for all you do.
Migraine Headaches in a child solved with Chiropractic care
When my son Brian was around 9 years old he started having frequent migraine headaches. Some headaches lasted up to a week. His headaches were so frequent and severe, he missed 23 days of school in the 5th grade. He had a CT scan and neurology workups, which didn’t reveal anything. He was put on migraine medication, but the headaches continued even when he took the medication. He is an active child, and an avid hockey player, but the headaches were affecting his sports and school.
We decided to take Brian to see Dr. Scott Fuller for chiropractic care. His evaluation revealed misalignments in his neck, and a big muscle knot at the top of the neck near the skull. After several weeks of chiropractic adjustments, his migraines were gone, he does not need the drugs, and he does not miss school any longer for headaches. He has been headache free for 2 years now. I still bring Brian in for wellness chiropractic care once a month.
Dizziness and Costochondritis-Relief with Chiropractic & Wonderful Experience
I met Dr. Fuller in September of 2006 when I was 45 years old. I had developed pain in my chest during the summer that led me to my primary care doctor, fearing it could be my heart. After an exam, chest x-ray, and EKG, I was told that it was likely costochondritis, or inflammation in my chest muscles. It was recommended that I take Advil and use steam heat. Well, I didn't get better at all. The steam did nothing for my pain and the Advil only aggravated my acid reflux. I got talking with a close friend who suggested I try her chiropractor. I wasn't sure but, he came SO highly recommended, that I decided to give him a shot.
From the moment I met Dr. Fuller, I felt at ease. He was just so genuine and down to earth, that I immediately knew I'd done the right thing by going there. After the initial exam and consult, Dr. Fuller knew that my chest muscles were bothering me because of leaning forward too much in my daily life. He told me he could definitely help me. I felt so relieved. His manner of speaking with you and really listening went a long way to making me believe he would cure me. I felt much relief from my pain after just a handful of visits and in just a couple of months the chest pain was gone completely. In that time, I came to like and completely trust Dr. Fuller more and more.
I am overweight and have had a bad lower back for years. Dr. Fuller has helped me greatly with my back issues. Instead of holding back so that you need to visit many, many, times, Dr. Fuller is happy to share his particular stretches with you, and nutritional advice, etc. This way, you can do these things at home and there's no need to go in all the time. I began bringing my two children to him also. He helped them greatly and my daughter continues to go in for treatment.
Another issue that came out of the blue was over a year and a half ago. I developed a kind of woozy/dizzy feeling. It was awful. When I'd move around or look down, things felt off. I wasn't sure if maybe I was dehydrated, or if it could be my ears, or even worse. I went to Dr. Fuller and he told me that he was sure it was coming from my neck. He also encouraged me to have my ENT doctor take a look too. I did. My Ear, Nose, and Throat doctor didn't know what it could be. Of course, Dr. Fuller worked on my neck a few times and I was fine. My daughter has neck issues too, and Dr. Fuller has helped her so much over the years.
The bottom line is that I trust, admire, and respect Dr. Fuller. I also feel the same about Heather. She is always pleasant and genuine and it's a pleasure to chat with her. She's also very knowledgeable and together they make a great team. A person can walk in there for the first time and feel at ease. Dr. Fuller is one of those rare doctors that actually feels more like a dear friend. There is none of that sense that he is better than you and you're just another patient. He is completely accessible, whether by telephone, or email. I have also gone months without making an appointment because life gets so busy. When I DO go back, he never makes you feel bad for staying away so long. The ease of making an appointment is unbelievable. He cares deeply about his patients and you just know he listens and absorbs whatever you tell him. He takes an active, caring interest in you as a person and will do whatever he can to help you to live a better, healthier life. The day I first walked into that office, was a huge turning point for me and my children. Dr. Fuller is an amazing doctor, an amazing individual, and an all around caring person. I highly recommend him to everyone.
Years of Chronic Pain-Finally, a Chiropractic Solution
In my mid-twenties, my whole life fell apart in when I developed horrendous constant, chronic aching pains throughout my upper and mid-back, my neck, and my arms, which led to frequent muscle spasms. In the year that followed, I had to leave my job, filed a workers compensation case (since 80-hour weeks on the computer appeared to be what caused the problems), was given many pain medication prescriptions, and saw chronic pain doctors, orthopedic specialists, physical therapists, acupuncturists... extremely deep tissue massage therapy was the only thing that made the slightest dent in my condition. Three and a half years since all of this started, I returned to physical therapy, which still didn't help, and they eventually recommended that I see a chiropractor. Sooo not thrilled with their recommendation, but willing to try anything that might improve my pain, I shopped around for chiropractors in the metro-north Boston area and found myself at Scott Fuller's small office-building space only a few days later.
Out of all of the medical professionals that I've seen over the past several years, this was the most surprising appointment I've had. During my initial visit, I didn't wait more than a few minutes for the doctor and he spent an hour and a half with me, taking down notes on my history and eventually taking x-rays. By the end of the visit, he was almost certain that the problem was my cervical (neck) spine and actually CALLED ME AT HOME (have you ever had a doctor do this?) to see how I was doing after the first treatment. A few days later, I returned for the x-ray results, and sure enough, my cervical spine was shown to be warped more than 100% in the wrong direction. He didn't suggest anything too crazy for treatment -- he did adjustments, used drop-table techniques, and I added new stretches and started doing manual traction at home. After TWO WEEKS, I felt my back pain had improved about 85%. 85%!! -- after three and a half years of horrible pain that was still bringing me to tears at least once a week. No surgery or pill recommendations, no dismissing me with what I've heard more than a few times: "Some people just have to live with chronic pain. (Deal with it.)"
I have so much more to say on the topic, but I'll just leave it at this: If you had been having back or body pains, Dr. Fuller may very well be able to help you. He also teaches Health & Wellness classes (among others), helps patients with weight-loss and nutritional changes for better living, and has a vast array of knowledge of homeopathic healing and living, and takes walk-ins. He genuinely cares about the well-being and improvement of his patients and I am so extremely thankful that I came across his practice!
Why I Continue With Chiropractic Wellness Care for Best Possible Health
Neck and back problems are just like tooth decay. The longer you wait to fix them, the harder (and more costly) it gets to repair them and the pain just keeps getting worse. Living with the certainty of another "my back's out" all the time just doesn't work for me. I need to be at my best possible health all the time. So I do back and neck stretches every day and visit Dr. Fuller every week and I haven't been laid up with back pain in years. Routine maintenance, just like brushing my teeth and seeing the dentist. It's a small price to pay for the reward of feeling good and being able to do what I want when I need to. And not worrying about the next time a neglected spine is going to scream for attention!
60 Pound Weight Loss in 6 Months with a Gluten and Dairy Free Diet
In 2003 I found my way to Fuller Chiropractic suffering with back pain, hypothyroidism and mild obesity. I experienced almost immediate relief from the adjustments and home stretching program. The weight loss was slower not because of a lack of good sound advice but my own resistance to change. During my adjustments Dr. Fuller and I discussed my weight and eating patterns. The one consistent theme Dr. Fuller suggested was the elimination of gluten and dairy. Eventually I did a cleanse that eliminated gluten and dairy for a week, and I decided to continue with that to see what might happen.
In a 6 month period I lost 50 to 60 lbs and my thyroid levels came back down into the normal range, from a whopping 9.2 to 3.6. My energy level improvements along with the weight loss were enough to convince me to continue with my new nutrition plan.
I have learned to be flexible, because in the past I found I could not sustain a strict diet, so once a month I allow myself to indulge in a treat that usually has some gluten or dairy in it. Some months I don't bother or may not even have an urge for a treat. There are so many wonderful choices and alternatives available and recipes that are old and familiar can be tweaked a little to be gluten and dairy free. I have not gained back any of the weight in over one and a half years and my thyroid seems to be towing the line. I am due for a follow up lab test in the next few months and will be curious to see the results.
At this point I feel so great I suspect my thyroid is functioning properly as it does play a big part in weight and metabolism as well as other important functions.
I feel eternally grateful to Dr. Fuller for his patient and consistent care. I never felt judged or pressured and the information I gleaned while on the table proved to be life altering.
Solutions for Sciatica and Severe Allergies
After developing sciatica in my left leg, I made an appointment with Dr. Fuller on a recommendation of another patient of his. I had never been to a chiropractor before, and honestly was skeptical that it would help, but after a couple of appointments with Dr. Fuller I could already feel a difference in my pain level. Over the last 2 months, I’ve been going for adjustments a couple times a week and faithfully doing the exercises Dr. Fuller taught me to do at home and I’m virtually pain free! It’s a remarkable difference from the way I felt at the beginning of the process!
And Dr. Fuller didn’t just stop at helping me with the leg pain; he’s also helped me in other areas of my health and wellness. I have been battling pretty severe seasonal and animal allergies for years, and at one point was on two types of allergy medication just to make it through the day. Dr. Fuller explained to me that consumption of dairy products can lead to a more severe immune response to allergens. He advised me to try and limit dairy products in my diet and see if it helped my allergy problem. I took his advice and cannot believe the difference it has made as I am no longer on ANY medications for allergies and hardly feel any of the allergy symptoms that I used to!
I am so thankful that I decided to make that first appointment with Dr. Fuller! He and his staff are really friendly and welcoming. He is very knowledgeable about what he does, but is not at all pushy with his advice and suggestions; he leaves it up to you what you are comfortable doing throughout the process. I no longer have any doubt in my mind about the benefits of chiropractic care and would highly recommend anyone with pain (and other health and wellness issues) to make an appointment with Dr. Fuller!
Child with NLD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, chronic illness, headaches, unable to run
Dear Dr. Fuller, We wanted to thank you for your role in helping Evan become a normal, healthy 11 year old. Prior to seeing you a year ago, he was weak, chronically sick and suffered from emotional problems and learning disabilities. His pediatricians were unable to figure out why his immune system was not functioning properly, and kept prescribing more and more antibiotics, until he wound up in the hospital with a serious stomach disease. He also suffered from daily debilitating headaches, and his legs were so weak he could barely run. We were desperate to get answers that the traditional medical community could not provide.
The regular adjustments and prescribed exercise, along with a change in diet and nutritional supplements, you recommended have changed Evan’s life. He is now happy, confident and well! The balance and coordination exercises have been so successful, he can now juggle. The supplements seem to keep his immune system strong, and the adjustments have cured everything from swimmer’s ear to daily headaches. His academic performance has improved and his learning disabilities are much less pronounced.
Evan still has some hurdles to overcome as he enters middle school, but we are confident he will continue to progress. We truly thank you for your thought and caring as well as the hard work in helping to make Evan well.
Sincerely, Andrea and Jim C.
Chronic Low Back Pain: Solved
When I first came to Fuller Chiropractic, I could not sit in a chair for more than 20 minutes without experiencing excruciating pain and requiring 2 to 3 minutes to ratchet myself up to a semi-straight standing position. A genetic condition exacerbated by years of being on the road playing music and traveling in planes, trains, buses and cars did this to me. At one point, I even thought about surgery, considering my life was so drastically limited by this chronic condition. I met Dr. Scott Fuller through a fellow student friend of mine while I was in school re-training for a career in Dental Hygiene, which would allow me to stay off the road and work in a program that would allow for recovery.
From the very first appointment, I knew I had come to the right place! The clock was not ticking in Dr. Fuller's world. I felt like I was his only patient. Quite frankly, I was not accustomed to the continuous follow-up calls and concern that he show for my condition and me. I felt like I had a trainer in my corner! I attended one of his classes and was amazed at the depth of his knowledge. I have been to many chiropractors before, not to mention acupuncturists, acupressurists, medical doctors, herbalists, faith healers, soothsayers… you name it. I tried them all! And no one had the complete understanding and wherewithal to disseminate information like Dr. Fuller. It was based on this body of information that I was able to assimilate what was necessary for my recovery. From that point on, I took every word of advice, every exercise, technique and recommendation that Dr. Fuller prescribed and made it policy. This brings me to the reason I am writing this testimonial.
I now live a relatively pain-free life! For those of you that are at the starting gate with your therapy, heed my words: the road back to health can be a long one, and at times it may seem like nothing will ever get you back to the freedom of movement you desire. After 18 months of compliance with my therapy, and occasional windows of relief, I was still not where I wanted to be. Dr. Fuller never gave up on me, so, I didn't give up. I doubled my time on the exercises and the foam block that was part of my therapy, and came more often to see Dr. Fuller, putting my faith and trust in his medicine. After all, it took years to get to the condition I was in, so it made sense that it may take some time to rectify it. Well, somewhere around the two-year mark, I made a miraculous breakthrough. Talk about a new lease on life, I felt like someone had just quitclaimed a new spine to me and shaved 15 years off my life. I was able to live like a normal human being again (something I had long given up on). I went for months without any relapses, and when I did have a relapse, it was due largely to the fact that I was taking risks like a teenager again. That's how good I felt, being able to run, bike, ski, workout, etc., sometimes pushing the limit.
Now I see Dr. Fuller once a week and do my therapy at a maintenance level that has all but allowed me to forget I even have a back condition. I did give up certain activities that tax my limits, and I suggest you evaluate the risk-benefit factor in any activity. But all in all, what I have given up has been easy considering the reward of living an active, limber, flexible and pain-free life! Trust Dr. Scott Fuller, stay the course with your therapy, and have faith that someday you will wake up feeling all whole lot better!

ADHD improved with non-drug solutions
When my son Michael turned seven, he was diagnosed with ADHD. His pediatrician recommended medication. I did not approve his approach and started searching for different available treatments. I noticed my son’s condition worsened when he ate processed food, anything with sugar or food colorings.
I brought Michael to Dr. Fuller's office in October 2003. He recommended high doses of fish oil, a special exercise twice a day, chiropractic treatment twice a week, and to eat lots of fruits, vegetables and whole grains. Within two months, I noticed that his symptoms improved dramatically. He was able to sit at school and be focused. I also saw improvements at home.
To this day, Michael continues to see Dr. Fuller once a month. He still does his exercises every day, takes fish oil and maintains a healthy diet.
It is very important for children diagnosed with ADHD to exercise. Michael plays indoor and outdoor soccer and participates in a swim program all year round. We go on bicycle trips when the weather permits. We ski in the winter months and go camping in the summertime. Michael feels better about himself. Thank you Dr. Fuller!
Rheumatoid Arthritis, Asthma, and Gastrointestinal symptoms improved by gluten and dairy free diet
I’m Laurie D., 48 years old.
I started noticing painful, swelling symptoms in my late twenties, but was not diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis until age 31. Medications have included prednisone and plaquenil in the past, but now I am on Celebrex and Enbrel and have been in medical remission for several years.
Ongoing symptoms included chronic pain, chronic fatigue, and swelling and/or pain in several joints including my wrists, fingers, knees, ankles, feet, and hips. With medication, I’ve been able to lead an active life and, at the encouragement of my rheumatologist, take up sports. I started with swimming, and now I cross-country ski, scuba dive, and hike, and actively compete in triathlon.
In October of 2011, I decided to try a gluten-free and dairy-free diet (GFCF), based on information in a book called "Clean" by Alejandro Junger (cleanprogram.com). Some of my friends with various health issues have had success with a GFCF diet, and Dr. Scott Fuller, DC recommended it as well.
In November of 2011, I noticed immediate improvements. I continued through three full weeks but felt so good that I went longer. For the most part, I am sticking to the elimination foods but not drinking as many liquid meals as I did during the cleanse. I really feel terrific and my energy is back. Other improvements included eliminating GI issues, reducing my fatigue level, lessening the occurrence of edema in my feet and ankles, enhancing my focus and visual acuity, and eliminating asthma medication.
In April of 2012 Scott Fuller, DC checked in with me. I wrote back:
I feel terrific! I have been more-or-less dairy free since November (I think I may have consumed small amounts of butter in restaurant food despite my requests). I have also been relatively (but not completely) gluten/wheat free. After several months of no gluten/wheat, I have found that I can consume it infrequently in small amounts without any noticeable effects. My new primary care doctor says that I may have what some people call "leaky gut" and that I "healed" myself so that now I don't have the same issues. Regardless, I still avoid it but am not completely free of it.
In general, I have stuck with the elimination/cleanse diet and feel pretty good. I very rarely eat any of the foods not on the list but occasionally consume some of the ones that I don't seem to have problems with - like bananas, strawberries, and non GMO organic tofu. I stay away from nightshades. I surprised myself by not missing coffee at all, but I will have a cup once every few weeks just to enjoy it. Probably the only "bad" thing I allow myself is alcohol, but not too frequently.
I feel stronger, more radiant, less tired, less cranky, and just so much healthier. Thanks for asking!
Chronic neck and back pain from Scoliosis-solved with Chiropractic
I first came to Dr. Fuller over the summer because of the pains that I was having in my back and neck due to my scoliosis. I had never been to a Chiropractor and at the time I did not believe that there could ever be a time that I would not have pain on a daily basis but due to the work that Dr. Fuller did with me coupled with staying consistent with the exercise program that we put together my back and neck are virtually pain free!!
Dr. Fuller is a miracle worker and I am so thankful that I took the initiative to make my first appointment. I would recommend him to anyone who has pains in their back or neck and who do not want to go on living with the pain! I really appreciate how you go the extra mile for your patients!
[Dr. Fuller's note: this is with a 64 degree scoliosis!]
Chronic Low Back Pain: Solved
You can’t keep doing the same thing and expect different results!
After suffering for 3 years with low back pain that could not be diagnosed by traditional doctors, I decided to see a chiropractor. Luckily it was Dr. Fuller! It was his impeccable expertise that left me pain free upon my first visit and alignment. I have remained so ever since.
One cannot explain the frustration of being limited in their active life by a constant pain, that traditional doctors tell you is nothing that they can diagnose.
Upon my first visit to Dr. Fuller, he looked at me before doing x-rays and said, "You have one leg shorter than the other. You must have had foot problems too."
Boy, was he ever right! Not only had my back been bothering me, but I had seen my foot doctor on two occasions for sores on my feet. In addition, after walking every day for exercise, thinking the more I exercise the better it will be for my pain, the more my hip joints hurt. It all made sense now!
Well, everything changed with my first visit to Dr. Fuller! I received my first alignment and x-rays were taken. The pain was finally gone. My x-rays revealed that my left leg was ¾ inch shorter than my right leg. This put strain on my spine and everything else. In addition, it was revealed that I also had a reverse curve in my neck with 2 spurs. Dr. Fuller stated that if nothing was done now this would cause real problems in the future.
Currently, I go for regular alignments, do daily exercises to reverse, slowly, back to where things are supposed to be and to keep them there. Even though some damage can not be repaired, the pain can be stopped! Dr. Fuller gave me lifts to place in my shoe to compensate for height [short leg]. In the meantime, I have had special lifts placed on my shoes by a store that specializes in this. With all of these changes in place I am now pain free and can stay that way. As an added bonus, Dr. Fuller had a wealth of information of diet & health! I discovered that the traditional American diet that I thought was what my body needed, was completely counterproductive. I used the information I received on certain foods as an experiment on myself. After thorough research, I found this information to be accurate, truthful and also not public! My visit to Dr. Fuller was a visit that changed my way of thinking about traditional methods of doing everything. And this resulted in a treatment of my body, inside and out. Today, I am back to having more energy than ever, and who would have thought it would come from my neighborhood chiropractor.
Thank you Dr. Fuller!
Sincerely, Susan Deteso

Severe Allergies Solved
Hi Dr. Fuller, I have to admit, the impact of giving up dairy has been pretty amazing. While it can be tricky at times, like eating out or cookouts, it is well worth it. For example, over the weekend I was able to mow my lawn for the first time that I can remember without being in complete misery during and after. I can sleep with my windows open and not regret it. I have been able to reduce the medicines I take significantly, I have not taken one Zyrtec all season, I have dramatically reduced my usage of fluticasone nasal spray to maybe once a week to help with the itchy eyes, I haven’t used my rescue inhaler since I started no dairy and I’ve been weaning myself off of my daily inhaled QVAR. For reference, I was taking one Zyrtec and some days a Benadryl or two, two puffs of nasal spray, two puffs of QVAR and using the rescue a couple times a week during allergy season in years past. I do miss pizza and this recent batch of pollen all over everything does make my eyes itch a little bit, these are minor things and I expect the itchy eyes to pass in time. Itchy eyes is way better than constant nose blowing, itching and wheezing. It’s only been about two months since I started the no dairy diet, I’ve slipped up a few times but I have noticed significant progress as mentioned above. I really appreciate you introducing me to this cure for my allergies. I’ve mentioned to friends that are fellow allergy sufferers that I gave up dairy and the wonders it has worked for me, I’m constantly greeted with skepticism which doesn’t bother me but I feel bad my friends aren’t willing to try this. Please feel free to share my results in the hope they will inspire someone else to give this a shot. Thank you, Steve
Headaches and Carpal Tunnel Solved
I began seeing Dr. Fuller after a friend suggested I see him for headaches. Never did I imagine that he would tell me that my wrist problems had something to do with my spine. It has now been several weeks and you can't believe how well my wrist, not to mention my headaches, have been doing. I couldn't even write out a check, lift a pan of boiling water to fix dinner without the support of a brace and many medicines. Now I need neither of them and I'm getting much better without very costly surgery. Insurance companies should seek out every avenue before settling for surgery. I still have a ways to go but things are 85% better. Thank you.

Dear Dr. Fuller,
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your Wellness care, unconventional wisdom and knowledge as a doctor and chiropractor.
